Our Cappellini Bong side table is priced at AU $995. NOTE- our prices are in AUSTRALIAN dollars which is significantly less in American $. In Australia, these side tables currently retail new at CULT for AU $2,760 with a 12-week (!) lead time.

Provenance and Background Information

The perfect accent, with an ironic touch and graceful presence, the Bong table by Giulio Cappellini is composed of a solid sphere with a flat top (for resting items on top of). The Cappellini Bong coffee table is the faux Carrara Marble version, which in my eyes is the best version they did. The Carrara marble decoration is realized with Dip-Print three-dimensional decoration system. These tables were designed in 2004 by Giulio Cappellini.

This is one of the best designed items I’ve ever come across. I thought it was marble until I picked it up (and could have done so with ONE hand!) The marble look is VERY convincing but it doesn’t have the weight or fragility of marble. This thing is constructed from fibreglass- if handled with any sense, it will last forever. This is smart, practical design in the true sense of the idea.

The Cappellini Bong table is also a great investment and bound to stay in production for a long time to come. Prices will only increase with inflation forever. Whether they stay in production or not- you can’t lose! You’ll be buying an amazing table PLUS something that will last forever AND hold or increase in value in the future. Is there any better way to invest in your home and reduce landfill? In my opinion, NO there’s not!

This Cappellini Bong table presents extremely well. It is strong, solid and sturdy- the structure is in perfect condition. The cosmetic condition of the table is also basically perfect. It is about 10 years old so has a couple of small knocks but certainly nothing that is noticed. It looks close to new. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Measurements.
