Background Info and Provenance

This is first time after about 23 years of trading that iNVISeDGE has ever had this design by Wrightbilt. Normally these suites come up with black vinyl on the outside which I don’t like. It makes the whole suite look overpowering. This suite has muted eucalyptus tones, which pares back the look and allows the incredible shape to become the hero (and not all that black). This tone is very neutral and in fact, in strong light it actually can look grey. I’m glad it’s eucalyptus green though and not grey- grey would be a bit boring, this green colour gives the suite a subtle pop of colour and personality, without being over the top. This means that in a home that has plenty of greenery outside the windows this lounge would marry into the space perfectly and give the area a slant of personality and vintage character.

There are so many things to love about this Wrightbilt lounge. I love that it was made in Australia about 60 years ago. Just look at it after all these years of use! It’s as solid as a rock- every piece has been extremely well looked-after. This suite almost looks as if it came out of a time-capsule. Apart from being so durable and displaying QUALITY construction, the comfort also comes up trumps. This would be one of the most comfortable lounge suites we’ve had in quite a while. Notice that the seat slants back, as does the back- this provides optimal seating comfort as it is the chair that’s holding you (and you’re not holding yourself up).

The looks are obviously noticed for all the right reasons- have I mentioned yet that this suite has character to boot? Love the curves, contrasted with the angular timber bases and love the investment appeal as well. Try getting one of these suites made today for anything less than DOUBLE this price- you won’t! But this is an AUTHENTIC VINTAGE suite made in AUSTRALIA back in the mid-1960’s. I doubt you’ll ever find better value for money in a lounge suite. Only $675 PER CHAIR!

After modern lounge suites have ended up as landfill this vintage suite made by Wrightbilt, Australia will be passed onto yet another generation- a symbol that when something has been done well in every regard it will live on. This suite has such a timeless look that it has superseded trends and also been trendy- but that’s because it’s interesting and the QUALITY screams out at you. If you choose to invest in this lounge suite by Wrightbilt be assured that there would be very few better ways to invest in your home (if any) or in the future of our environment.

Both of these Wrighbilt chairs and in fact the full lounge is in incredible condition for a suite of this age. There are no condition issues that warrant a mention. Yes, the suite is vintage so it will have some very minor signs of use but nothing that's noticed. The vinyl is immaculate. The inner velvet on the loose cushions is close to faultless. There are a few very minor marks on one or two cushions (over the full suite) but these are not noticed unless you're a total nit-picker. The spring system is impressive in looks as it is in condition. The comfort of these pieces is sensational. The springs are as they were when the suite left the factory all those years ago. The cushioning is also brilliant. Soft and plush but also supportive at the same time. I doubt you could find a vintage lounge suite of this age in better condition. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Measurements. Single-seater chairs- 95cm height. 67.5cm across. 80cm depth. 4-seater sofa- 95cm height. 224cm across. 80cm depth. These pieces are 95cm high- that's high! The average height of lounges these days is about 82cm. The high back provides extra comfort as it's supporting your whole back BUT this is not at the expense of looks.
