This one’s a favourite of mine, made by Framac in AUSTRALIA back in the 1960’s, this Terrazzo table design has really grown on me the longer I’ve been doing this- I love this design even more after being in this business for 24 years. That’s a pretty good indicator of stunning, TIMELESS design in my eyes. The older the design has got, the MORE I love it- I can’t say that for much furniture! These are exceptional even on a worldwide platform and easily compete with designer coffee tables from Italy made at the same time.
Timeless good looks, RARITY, hours of workmanship ALL DONE BY HAND and complete DURABILITY- the perfect combination; this makes these a really smart investment. Over the last 24 years I’ve been in this business I’ve seen these tables increase in value along with inflation for the entire time. They’re not easy to find and I’ve never come across one that’s been damaged in any way. This makes this a furniture INVESTMENT- not a purchase at all. It’s sleek and minimalist, but the earthy tones of the stone-top give it warmth and interest. This piece is about 60 years old but would look brilliant in any design interior of today especially one where the “clinical” look needs to be counteracted.
I rarely see these Framac Terrazzo coffee tables- this is only the second one I’ve stocked in iNVISeDGE (the last one we had was way back in 2005)! I love the earthy tones of this particular one too. Several Framac tables I’ve seen over the years were not quite right- either the stone pieces were ugly or the colours wrong. Made by Australian firm, Framac, this company has become well-known for creating items of durability.
This is the type of piece I’d have in my own home- unfortunately my apartment is too small for it otherwise it would not have made it into iNVISeDGE. Why buy furniture you see around everywhere? This offering gives you a rare opportunity to invest in an interesting, rare vintage piece that should only continue to appreciate in value.
