LOCATION- being sold by a private seller in CRONULLA, Sydney. I travelled to Sydney to work with this suite and a few other items that will appear in iNVISeDGE soon. I personally photographed this suite so I know that the condition of the suite is great and the quality of what’s on offer is exceptional. This suite can be transported Australia-wide for a reasonable additional fee. It would cost about $280 to get the sofa only to Melbourne or about $420 to freight the full 3-piece suite to Melbourne (to give you some idea of freight costs).

Provenance and Background Info

A FULL-GRAIN designer leather sofa MADE IN ITALY by Borzalino. (The listed price is for the 3-seater sofa only- the matching pair of chairs are additional.) This full suite retailed new for around AU $12,000 about 8 years ago. Borzalino has been HAND-CRAFTING their furniture in Tuscany, Italy since 1976- for nearly 50 years now. For any furniture company outside of China to survive that long, they must be doing a lot right. When you experience this work in the flesh it becomes plainly obvious why Borzalino has prospered. The quality is brilliant. These pieces are beautifully made- I can’t see any reason why this suite won’t last forever. That’s what you’re paying for when you invest in Borzalino- TIMELESS, sophistication that will be passed on to future generations. If looked-after, this suite will last a lifetime (if not longer).

BUT there’s no point investing in quality, if the function of the furniture is not carefully considered. The comfort of this suite is sublime- in these chairs you’re perfectly supported plus they have the right amount of “give” and plushness. They’re perfect sitting chairs- great angles, the back height is great and the enveloping curves mean it feels like you’re being hugged. The sofa is just as comfortable and is 190 cm long, so it’s the perfect size- perfect for lying out in, not too big for a smaller space plus the armrest is curved down in the middle so you can rest your head there. It’s a really nice way to relax in the sofa.

Probably the most-important criteria iNVISeDGE considers before stocking any item is investment appeal. There’s no point buying furniture anymore- if your furniture doesn’t retain its value over time (at least) then we believe there’s no point buying it. iNVISeDGE items are carefully chosen to ensure customers are not losing financially when they buy from us. This furniture was HAND-CRAFTED in Italy and was expensive when it was sold- our price needs no consideration. You couldn’t buy a leather lounge suite from Fantastic Furniture for this! But this furniture sits at the pinnacle as far as quality AND design is concerned. It’s a stunning-looking suite- the curves are stylish and pleasing on the eye. It’s minimalist with just the right amount of interest in the design- the colour is also ideal. This neutral tone really suits the design. If this was made by B & B Italia, I’d have 4 times the price on it (the QUALITY of this is just as good as B & B Italia too) .

Modern lounge suites made with inner-chipboard frames and foam that degrades after only a handful of years are ending up as landfill in less than a decade of use. With sensible use, this Borzalino lounge suite will evade landfill for several generations. This is TOP quality FULL-GRAIN ITALIAN leather. If you look after this leather, it will last a lifetime but more than likely longer than that! Investing in brands that have built a formidable reputation spanning decades is a very smart way to go.
