Description
This Wrightbilt Day/Night Sofa sold through iNVISeDGE for $1095 back in 2006. Today in 2019 I’d price it at about $2,000. This piece has continued to appreciate in value. Now in 2024 I’d price it at around $2,500 (for the EXACT same piece). This buyer got an outstanding investment. (It wasn’t a purchase at all, but an investment.)
Background Info and Provenance
A stunning Day / Night sofa that I believe was made by Wrightbilt in the late 1950’s or early 60’s. This sofa folds down into a bed much like how a book opens out. Displaying superior construction, this piece was built to last. This Australian-made sofa slightly exceeds the quality of Parker and FLER. A much overlooked Australian design- maybe only overlooked because they’re not often seen. I like it more than the FLER Narvik Day / Night sofa. This Wrightbilt sofa was re-upholstered in a Warwick Textile upholstery. I’ve seen very few of this design around making it a very solid investment.
