A set of SIX dining chairs in a sleek and refined style by Australian maker, Parker Furniture. Sets of six in this style are hard to find and don’t come up often. These were done in the early 1960’s and have just been reupholstered in a white commercial-grade vinyl. I really like this Parker design- it’s “clean” and refined and has the understated elegance of Danish furniture. These Parker chairs show EXPERT workmanship and are also very comfortable. As far as dining chairs go, these are as comfortable as they get. With our price of $160 each, the average timber chair usually costs well over $200 each in the furniture chain stores but look nothing like these- these chairs are beautifully finished, boast superior construction AND investment appeal. Buying new is only encouraging further deforestation and when you don’t know the construction quality, how long will it be before they end up as landfill? Sets of 6 from this era have to be well built- they wouldn’t have lasted this long otherwise- sets of 6 are getting harder to get which only strengthens the investment appeal of this set.
