BUYING AN ITEM from out NEWLY LISTED Category
- Buy from our NEWLY LISTED Category. Read all of the listing before opening a transaction.
- If the item doesn’t have ON HOLD or SOLD at the start of the listing, it’s best to call Michael on 0412 757 348 to open a transaction. ALL our items are VINTAGE / SECOND-HAND- by calling Michael you have an opportunity to ask any specific questions you may have about the item before you open up a transaction. Please click on the CONDITION & DIMENSIONS tab to get fully acquainted with the item BEFORE you call. Employ the Magnifying Tool for every photo. - If you are a regular customer or have purchased from iNVISeDGE before (and have no questions about the item after reading the CONDITION & DIMENSIONS section in the listing), SMS Michael with the item you want to purchase (the full title / a screenshot of the item / browser link), your NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, DELIVERY ADDRESS, plus your PHONE NUMBER. Michael will send your SMS to his Admin Assistant who will EMAIL you an invoice.
FOR SELLING ENQUIRIES SMS US WITH ALL THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BELOW.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!
If you need your item out urgently, we may make an offer on your item or Michael will direct your selling enquiry to one of our regular sellers in your area. In this instance, a wholesale offer will be made (ie. what you’d consider listing it for on Gumtree or Marketplace.)
SELLING UNDER CONSIGNMENT THROUGH iNVISeDGE
If there is no urgency in getting your item out and your item is special and valuable, Michael will often offer to personally work with your item when he is next visiting your area. (And then sell it UNDER CONSIGNMENT in his online store. This process will take longer. Your item will also stay with you until iNVISeDGE finds a buyer for it.) In this case, Michael will personally take professional photos of your item AND inspect it in person. There are 2 advantages for you if this happens. A) Professional photos will be taken with no effort on your part, and, B) Because Michael has personally inspected your item, he will confidently know exactly what you have and its condition. This will translate into a much better result for you because all risk will be taken out of the equation for potential buyers (we will also be able to sell your item to buyers Australia wide). Michael’s commission fee varies if he personally works with your item and averages around 22% – 26%. (The lowest any private seller was charged last year (in 2023) was 22%. (iNVISeDGE has sold consignment items through this website for up to $12,000.)
IMPORTANT NOTE! We DON’T accept most Parker Furniture made in early-1980’s or after. We also don’t accept big (monstrous-looking) Parker or Parker-looking display units / cabinets that are taller than the average adult. We no longer accept any POST & RAIL furniture OR Norman Archibald dining suites from private sellers.
If you are confident you can get photos of your item close to the standard of other photos in iNVISeDGE with little or no direction, our fee is 20% (if it’s something we want to represent).
SELLING AN ITEM through iNVISeDGE
- Take a few quick, CLEAR PHOTOS of what you have in decent light so Michael can see what you have. (Taking photos on your phone is fine.) If there are any condition issues, show them in your photos.
- SMS your photos to Michael on 0412 757 348.
- In your SMS, tell us WHERE the item is being stored / currently used (suburb AND postcode), your EMAIL ADDRESS and sign off with your FULL NAME. ALSO, tell us whether or not there is ANY URGENCY in getting your item/s out. (eg. we have sold our house and we’re moving interstate- our house settles in 2 – 3 months OR we are starting to downsize as we are now retired so there is no real urgency in getting these item/s out of here.) Items that need to be out in 6 weeks or less are NOT suitable for our consignment process. If the item is special, can it be moved to someone’s garage before the house settles? It is worth considering all options for special items so they find the right home where the item will be valued, looked-after and passed onto future generations.
- We get items offered to us on a daily basis; following these steps gives you the best chance of getting a timely response.
