This desk was sold in 2005 for $329 to a guy who bought a lot of items from me. These days (in 2018) I’d value the same desk at around $495. Certainly an authentic 1950’s piece with Queensland Maple and cool angular legs … and love those handles. Top quality construction too. Very Featherston, Snelling, Summertone in style but if memory serves me correctly it was actually made by a furniture-making business that operated out of Cairns, North Queensland in the 1950’s. Great honest workmanship (and design) that has stood the test of time and evaded landfill. A great investment for your home and for the future of our earth.
