A 3-seater sofa WITH matching single chair in PREMIUM leather by a Danish maker in the early 1960’s. This suite was bought in from Denmark about 8 years ago by a retailer in Melbourne who imports vintage designer furniture from Europe. Eight years ago the suite was purchased by the previous owner for $2800 sofa + $1295 matching single chair = $4095 total plus the buyer paid for freight (at least $330) from Melbourne to Sydney. This suite has a stunning style- very sleek and aerodynamic in shape- it’s certainly noticed but also has the refined elegance the Scandinavian countries are renowned for. It has a similar style to some FLER suites made in Australia around the same time but this is more sophisticated. Notice how the shape of the armrest flares at the back and narrows towards the front and that the arm-section is not flat either. These features add a subtle point of interest that stands the suite apart. This suite is vintage (I’d say early 60’s) and the quality is exemplary. Top-quality construction and top-quality leather.
Looks and quality aside the suite also gets a resounding tick for comfort. The top-quality cushioning is plush and supportive and the angles are spot on for comfort. The seat is slanted back about 5 degrees which is optimal as it takes the weight off your back muscles for complete relaxation. The suite is also an obvious furniture investment. They’re still making similar styles but not with the same sophisticated shape and they’re being sold for more than this. For new suites you don’t know the quality of the construction or the leather you’ll be getting. This leather has worn beautifully over time and will continue to do so. The leather is soft and supple making it beautiful to sink into.
After the leather of many modern pieces disintegrate and the suite ends up as landfill this furniture will be passed onto yet another owner proving that classic looks and quality construction is timeless. There are very few better ways to invest in your home and reduce your carbon footprint. (THIS LISTING IS FOR BOTH THE SOFA AND THE SINGLE CHAIR.) NOTE ALSO- the suite is very dark CHOCOLATE in colour- close to black but not quite.

PICK-UP . . . is accepted- professional delivery is preferred. This item is heavy and will require 2 strong people for pick-up. PLEASE NOTE- I live in Brisbane and run this business from Brisbane. PICK-UPS and VIEWINGS will be facilitated by a sub-contractor (someone who is NOT an employee of iNVISeDGE). I recommend that customers use a specialist furniture carrier for larger furniture items- these people know what they’re doing and come with what’s needed to look after your investment. I’ve seen too many customers try to force things in the back of 4WDs or put something in a trailer not protected. A ROUGH IDEA OF FREIGHT PRICES by specialist professional FURNITURE carriers. . . LOCAL DELIVERIES tend to be ABOUT $70 to $100 for a ONE-MAN delivery (for ONE standard sized item eg. 3.5-seater sofa or a set of 6 dining chairs). If you live over 25km away from the item, delivery will be AROUND $120 but it depends on various factors such as access issues and when you can receive the item. Sydney is a little more expensive compared to Brisbane (as another example) . . . . . . . “Normal” INTERSTATE DELIVERY (eg. Brisbane to Sydney OR Melbourne to Sydney) is generally about $250 for ONE standard-sized item (eg. a 3.5-seater sofa or a set of 6 dining chairs but it can depend on various factors. Sometimes it will be cheaper- $250 is about the average. Smaller items are less than $250. If you have a really big sofa (as an example) it will usually be around $280. These prices are given so you have a rough idea of whether interstate delivery might be an option for you. If you are unsure about it all please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
