Stunning designer chair. Hand-crafted in Australia c. 1950’s – 1960’s UNKNOWN maker but definitely handcrafted by a boutique Australian maker during the 1950’s or 1960’s era. This chair would benefit from restoration but can certainly be used and enjoyed as is. It’s very strong and sturdy. It’s quite a tall chair- over 100 cm in height! The height of the back is very unusual- in fact the whole piece is. I’ve never seen anything like it in 20 years of trading. Promotion includes FREE DELIVERY to any location in BRISBANE. Any Australian resident may enter however residents outside Brisbane must pay AU $50 to offset our higher freight cost.

This piece is in excellent condition for it's age with NO noticeable flaws to report. It is about 55 - 70 years old. If this chair was restored it would be worth about $900. I am not a professional restorer and would have to pay someone to do this hence why I decided to give it away. It's been sitting in storage for years- I want to make space. The legs have been bolted onto the seat section discreetly. I'm not sure if this is how the chair originally was so I'm giving it away. It's a strong sturdy chair and can be used exactly as is. I would need it restored to fit into iNVISeDGE and I don't have the time or expertise to do this or arrange someone to do it for me so I've reluctantly decided to just give it away. FREE TO A GOOD HOME! The chair looks great as is and is fully functional but some people may want to see it restored to give this fascinating vintage chair a new lease of life and ensure it will passed onto the next generation. With the millions of cardboard boxes that end up as landfill every year we don’t believe in supporting the manufacture of boxes for post. Instead of buying new boxes and packing materials and passing this cost onto our customers we spend considerable time sourcing used boxes and then fashioning boxes to fit each item. We do the same for bubble-wrap and foam pieces. This requires a large investment of time, energy, ingenuity, organization and storage space- it is much easier and cheaper to buy new packing materials but I can’t justify taking the easy way out when so much packing material ends up polluting our earth. Our $3.00 charge does little to pay for the time (and storage) needed do this and to pack your item (there is also the time needed to get your package to the post office). This is something we’re happy to do for our customers and the environment. We appreciate your support in this area.
