THIS DESCRITION IS NOT FINISHED YET- this listing will be updated shortly

This particular Mdina design, made in the 1970’s or early-1980’s, is not easy to find and one of their most sought-after. The piece is signed (as shown in the photos) solidifying the investment. The Mdina flowing script on the base also indicates it’s a vintage Mdina piece (newer pieces were signed differently).

Upon close inspection it’s obvious this piece is HAND-made (like all Mdina pieces) and not mass-produced by machines. The individualistic quality of all Mdina pieces is what attracts the collectors- glass-making techniques of yesteryear are a dying art and the vintage stuff that survives (and attracts collectors) increases in value over time. This art-glass piece has already been around for about 40 years and been much admired. The beauty of Mdina pieces is knowing they have a good chance of outliving us all- art glass like this will continue to tell stories after machine-made, modern decor has ended up as landfill. There’s no better way to invest in your home and in our environment.
