Background Information and Provenance

An inspirational OKRA glass vase in intriguing colours. This is one of the best pieces of Okra I’ve seen. Created by Dave Barras, this piece epitomizes why Barras was one of Okra’s most successful artists. Mixing technical expertise with a flowing essence and original concept this piece grabs you immediately and keeps you captivated. I saw it and just had to stock it in iNVISeDGE.

Okra pieces are some of the most highly regarded HAND-CRAFTED art pieces to ever come out of Europe. This piece is signed to the base “Okra D.B” (Dave Barras). The vase is a good size- 21.5cm in height- which is larger than virtually all Colin Heaney pieces. Okra has been on the scene since 1979 and is one of Europe’s most successful art-glass works ever. Recent Okra Limited Edition pieces are worth about AU$4000.

In Australia, Okra pieces offer an astute investment. They offer something outside of what’s been done by any Australian artist- I doubt you’ll see another piece like this in Australia for some time- if ever.

These incredible HAND-MADE pieces by Barras will be passed from one generation to the next, adding more stories and become more valued as they go. There are very few better ways to invest in your home and reduce your landfill. This listing is for the vase shown in every photo.
