Brown and Heavy Clear Base Glass Vase with gold foil LABEL. Riihmaki Lasi Made in Finland. c. 1970’s. Beautiful intensity of colour near the base- nice gradation of colour throughout. 18cm high. 284 grams- AU $78
West German Vase with segments of different earthy colours. Marked to the Base- W Germany 650 17. Nice shape with a rustic, earthy slant. c. 1970’s. 21cm high. 536 grams- AU $78
Holmegaard Olive-Green Stovepipe Glass Vase. Engraved / Signed to the Base- Holmegaard 1961 PL (Per Lutken). Thick Glass / Hand-made in Denmark. This colouring is quite rare- nice in a group display. 17.5cm high. 378 grams- AU $78
Royal Copenhagen Baca Vase by Nils Thorsson. Beautifully marked to the base with a Denmark stamp, the Royal Copenhagen stamp, a number imprint, hand-painted initials of the artist who painted it, the numbers 721 / 3258 are also hand-painted on the base. I love the rustic primitive quality of the Baca Series but this one also has a carnival-essence to it as well. A great piece that I’ve had in my own collection for many years. All of these pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no damage to report. The Holmegaard piece has very feint clouding as seen in the photo- this is not usually noticed though. Read my 1200+ ebay feedback comments (ALL for VINTAGE furniture/decorative art SALES- 100 or so are from repeat customers). PICK-UP . . . from 30 or 40 minutes North of BRISBANE city is accepted but postage is preferred as my home is hard to find. With the millions of cardboard boxes that end up as landfill every year we don’t believe in supporting the manufacture of boxes for post. Instead of buying new boxes and packing materials and passing this cost onto our customers we spend considerable time sourcing used boxes and then fashioning boxes to fit each item. We do the same for bubble-wrap and foam pieces. This requires a large investment of time, energy, ingenuity, organization and storage space- it is much easier and cheaper to buy new packing materials but I can’t justify taking the easy way out when so much packing material ends up polluting our earth. Our $3.00 charge does little to pay for the time (and storage) needed do this and to pack your item (there is also the time needed to get your package to the post office). This is something we’re happy to do for our customers and the environment. We appreciate your support in this area.
