Background Information & Provenance

A set of 6 dining chairs made by Parker in 1976. This suite has had one owner, who purchased it from David Jones back in 1976. This design is very hard to find. Every chair is as solid as a rock after almost 50 years of use. These Parker dining chairs were re-upholstered about 8 years ago in a quality Warwick Fabrics textile. The upholstery is TOP quality and still in brilliant condition. The frames are structurally perfect and the timber presents extremely well. I like the angular look that’s been created here. The QUALITY and COMFORT are just as attractive. These chairs are supremely comfortable- you’d be able to relax in these chairs for long, leisurely dinners. The seat section slants back slightly for optimal comfort. The backs are curved and set at the perfect angle to hold your back at the perfect position for comfort. The seat and back are also well padded for further comfort. You will find very few dining chairs that are more comfortable.
Some Parker dining chair designs are being sold in iNVISeDGE for $3,000 for a set of 6. This stunning set is a great buy for the budget-conscious investor. After the majority of modern dining chairs end up as landfill, this vintage Parker dining suite will be passed on to a new custodian and then the next generation. There’s no better way I can think of to invest in your home and the future of our environment.

Overall this FULL set is in brilliant original condition for the age (early-1960's). They’re about 50 years old and EVERY chair presents very well. The frames are all solid and sturdy with NO breaks, NO movement in any joint area, NO cracks in any joint area (nothing of the sort). _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The timber on all chairs may have a few minor surface marks and knocks but nothing that's noticed. These were re-upholstered about 8 years ago and the fabric chosen is PREMIUM IN QUALITY. This newer upholstery is brilliant in condition with NO stains, NO noticeable marks, NO cuts or holes and NO noticeable wear at all. Every chair is in brilliant condition overall for chairs of this age. This cushioning is most likely the original cushioning from the 1970's and is incredible in quality- it's still plush and super-comfortable all these years on. The chairs present extremely well and are ready to be used and loved for another 50 years (providing you use them with some sense). _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The table measures- 130cm unextended. 184cm extended. Table height-76cm. Width- 90cm.
These chairs measure 49cm across (including the posts), seat depth is 45cm. This design has a total height of 82cm. Seat height is about 47cm. FREIGHT- approx. cbm all up for all 6. Read my 1200+ feedback comments on ebay to be assured that these chairs are exactly as described and that I will not stock items unless they are in excellent condition.
