Background Info and Provenance

Another unicorn from the Daylesford downsize – this lamp is perfect for a lady’s or gentleman’s study and you are unlikely to see another for sale in Australia. These were made in the US in the 1950’s and adorned many a Palm Springs home. The shades are spun fibreglass and cast a warm honeyed light across a space. The twin lights are rare – as is the sleek wooden base. The twin branches are fully flexible so can cast light in any direction. The current owners had this lamp rewired to Australian safety standards by a professional vintage lighting electrician in Preston, Melbourne. We love the elegant, refined Danish aesthetic- it would really look the part amongst amongst Danish furniture of the same era. This is an iconic fifties Palm Springs piece – grab it before someone else does!
